Summary
Now that nearly all children survive intrauterine transfusion, the question becomes how they fare later. This review sets out the neurodevelopmental and cardiovascular sequelae after transfusion for alloimmunisation, parvovirus B19, fetomaternal haemorrhage and twin anaemia-polycythaemia sequence. Follow-up is needed both to judge antenatal care and to counsel parents, including before a next pregnancy.
