Summary
Intrauterine transfusion has been performed worldwide since the 1980s, yet according to the paper its learning curve had not been studied. It applies cumulative sum (CUSUM) analysis to the transfusions of four operators with at least 200 procedures each, at the Dutch centre from 1987 to 2009. The method proved workable for quality control in fetal therapy, both to follow a learning phase and to monitor performance over the long term.
